Liquor Prices Hiked In Andhra Pradesh By 25%

The Andhra Pradesh government headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy which gave its nod to open the liquor shops in the state which were shut during the lockdown has decided to the hike the liquor prices by 25%.

The government described the step to encourage the public to consume less amount of liquor which might turn as complete liquor prohibition in the state as said by Jagan earlier.

AP government has not only increased the liquor prices but also reduced the count of the liquor outlets in the state to 3,500 which was 4,380 earlier. Looking at the hike of the liquor prices, Rs 20 increased on a quarter bottle while Rs 40 increased for the half bottles.

On the other hand, Rs 80 increased for the full bottle. Quarter bottles that were between the range of Rs 120-150 will be hiked by Rs 40 and a half and full bottles were hiked by Rs 80 and Rs 120 respectively.

Rs 60 is hiked for the quarter bottles that were above the range of Rs 150 and Rs 120 and Rs 240 were increased for half and full bottles respectively, while Rs 20 and Rs 30 were hiked for half beer and full beer respectively.
