List: Five world cup victories of Australia

Australia once again proved why they called as chapion sin cricket. They  defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the final of the 2015 World Cup cricket to win their fifth crown.

They showed commitment in each and every phase of the match and won the title. Australia has won their previous four crowns in India (1987), England (1999), South Africa (2003) and the West Indies (2007). Two of its losses in the final took place in England (1975) and Pakistan (1996).

Five victories of Australia in world cup are listed below.

Beat New Zealand by 7 wickets in the final of the 2015 World Cup in Melbourne, Australia [NZ 183, Aus 186/3] Captain:Clarke

Besides the four victories in the World Cup final, Australia also lost two finals to the West Indies and Sri Lanka in 1975 and 1996, respectively. Ian Chappell and Mark Taylor were the captains of Australia in those two title clashes.
