Lockdown Reduced The Crime Rate

After imposing the lockdown in the country, the criminal cases have reportedly reduced throughout the country. As per the report given by the National Crime Records Bureau, the crime rate in Andhra Pradesh is very low compared to regular times.

The lockdown has showed a good effect on the crime's happening in the country. The latest report says that the crime rate is reduced from 55% to 33% , and the road accidents are also reduced along with the kidnap and murder cases. Since from the beginning of March, only 140 road accidents are registered in AP.

When asked about this, Vijaywada Police Commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said, " Apart from the lockdown violating cases, remaining all kinds of cases are reportedly reduced," Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said. The same has happened in Telangana. The crime rate is reduced to 55% compared to usual times. However, along with overspread of the Coronavirus, the crime rate is also confined to some extent.
