Telugudesam president Chandrababu succeeded a lot in making his son an icon inside the party. He recently confirmed indirectly that Lokesh will be entering into active politics soon and will contest as an MLA. But from which constituency Lokesh will contest is the question now.
Earlier it is assumed that Nara Lokesh will be contesting from Serilingampalli constituency thinking that all those software engineers living in areas like Madhapur, Gachibowli and others will vote for him. He felt that people will remember the works done by Naidu to IT industry and will vote for him blindly. But root level surveys indicated that YSR-Congress wave is quite stronger in those areas and Lokesh is on the lookout for alternative place to contest. In Chitoor districts Chandragiri, Telugudesam cadres are demanding either Chandrababus son Lokesh, or Chandrababu brother Rammorthys son Girish should take the reins. They want someone from party Presidents family to contest from their constituency.
However, Lokesh is said to be confused as he got no clarity whether TDP will clean-sweep at those places if he contests as an MLA. If party presidents son himself loses out, then it will be a big blow for limping Telugudesam party.
