During the swearing-in ceremony of the Maharashtra cabinet led by CM Uddhav Thackeray, a shocking incident took place where 36 people have taken oath including Aditya Thackeray and Ajit Pawar.
Governor BS Koshari has stopped Congress MLA KC Padvi from taking oath as minister. This incident took place where Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, and other leaders were present.
Going into details Padvi went to the state upon calling his name and took oath in his Marathi language. In the end, he went on speaking extra lines more than oath's text which was provided to the MLA. This prompted the Governor to intervene.
The Governor did not accept the swearing-in ceremony and asked the MLA to take the oath and not to speak anything extra.
Following this Governor turned to Uddhav and said something. An official present on the stage requested the Governor on asking Padvi to repeat his oath.
"I will not accept this. I will not allow this. Please read it again read only what is written (in the paper). Senior leaders are sitting in front, Sharad ji, Kharge ji, if they will tell me I am saying something wrong, I will not tell you," Mr. Governor said.
