The vote counting for the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly and 90-member Haryana Assembly started at 8 a.m. The first half hour of the 2014 Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Elections have signalled that the BJP have gained big initially. In Maharashtra, the BJP is ahead on 38 seats, Shiv Sena is ahead on 13 seats, Congress is ahead on 10 seats, whereas the NCP is ahead on the sole seat. In Harayana the BJP is ahead on 20 seats, whereas the Congress and INLD are leading on five seat each.
