Update: 2018-12-28 13:56 GMT
Hyderabad GST Commissionerate freezed two bank accounts of Mahesh Babu on Thursday over tax evasion for the financial year 2007-08. Dues to the tune of Rs 73.5 lakh has to be paid by the Superstar as per the statement issued by the GST Commissionerate.

Mahesh Babu responded seriously on this matter as this news is like a black remark on his clean image. He served Legal Notice to the GST Commissioner claiming to have never evaded tax. Prince made it clear all the taxes have been paid by him on time as a responsible citizen of the country. He also questioned how could the Bank Accounts be freezed without even serving notices.

Legal Team of Mahesh Babu argues: 'Section 65 (105)(zzzq) which is related to Brand Endorsement services has come into effect only from 1-7-2010. Mahesh Babu have a clean track record when it comes to tax payments. GST Commissionerate attached the bank accounts without prior notice when the matter is in court'.

Mahesh Fans will breath a sigh of relief after the manner in which their Favourite Actor responded over the freezing of bank accounts.
