The Industrialist announced that Idly Amma would soon have her own house and Mahindra Lifespaces, which deals with the real estate and infrastructure will take care of the house construction.
A land has been registered in Idly Amma's name in Thondamuthur and the Mahindra Lifespaces will construct the house soon. Anand Mahindra thanked the Registration office for helping them in registering the land.
"Only rarely does one get to play a small part in someone's inspiring story, and I would like to thank Kamalathal, better known as Idli Amma, for letting us play a small part in hers. She will soon have her own house cum workspace from where she will cook & sell idlis," Anand Mahindra tweeted.
Anand Mahindra's tweet went viral within no time and Twitterati lauded the Industraliats for helping Idly Amma to achieve her dream of having her own house.
Two years back, Anand Mahindra, who got to know about Idly Amma said that he wants to invest in her idly business and came forward to offer her an LPG connection.
When asked about the reason behind selling the idlis for a low price, Idly Amma said, she is selling idlis for one rupee per piece, so that the daily wagers can feed themselves.
