Over 10 Lakh Employees In Top 5 Indian IT Ffirms Are Working From Home

Given the deadly outbreak of the ongoing pandemic, many IT Companies and firms allowed their employees to work from home as most of the offices were closed so that the employees are not infected with the virus.

Still, a lion share of employees of IT firms in India is working from home with major IT giants extending work from home. The other day, Google extended the option to work from home for most of the employees until June 30, 2021.

The official data states that more than 10.81 lakh employees in India that work for top-level IT firms are continuing work from home in the wake of the spread of the deadly virus.

The percentage of IT employees working under work from home translates to more than 95%. A lion share of employees at the TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech, Wipro and Tech Mahindra are working from home.

Out of the five IT companies, multinational information technology service Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) has the least percentage of employees working from home with 1 percent.

However, TCS is making all the measures to increase the percentage of employees working from home from 1 percent to 5 percent by the end of next quarter.
