Mamata Banerjee blames Amit Shah for Cooch Behar violence, says a probe will start!
When West Bengal geared up for the fourth phase of elections on Saturday, tension gripped Sitalkuchi in the Cooch Behar district when violence broke out after the central forces opened fire.
Going into detail, central forces opened gunfire outside an election booth in Cooch Behar in self-defense after a tussle took place, leaving four people breathing their last. As a result, the election was canceled in the respective booth.
Reacting sharply to the incident, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee put the blame on Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He is the conspirator for the violence, she claimed.
Batting for the resignation of the central force personnel over the violence, the Chief Minister said, she will not blame the forces as they exercise as per the orders they receive from the union government.
Didi even raised her doubts over the version of the central forces, who said they had to open out of self-defense. No proof was found to prove central forces claims, a police probe will be launched in this regard, she said.
"Where does this theory come from? Who was injured on their part? Is there any footage? After killing those people, they were supporting the act," Mamata Banerjee told the reports after visiting the spot.
Tracing back the incident, the central forces opened fire after a clash broke out at a polling booth. The shooting took place outside a polling booth, leaving four dead. The ruling TMC and BJP are blaming each other for the incident.
