Mamata Banerjee marches on a resounding win in Bhabanipur

TMC chief Mamata Banerjee had emerged victorious in the do-or-die by-election. As she lost the Nandigram elections in the general elections. In order to make it to the Chief Minister post, Mamata Banerjee had to win the by-election and she had won the election with a supermajority.

While Mamata Banerjee had contested the seat, the BJP had projected lawyer Priyanka Tibrewal as the contestant. Despite giving a tough time, the BJP candidate had lost the elections with Mamata crushing her opponent with a bumper majority of 58,832 votes.

Mamata Banerjee who guided her TMC party to a landslide victory in the General elections in West Bengal had lost the elections from the Nandigram constituency. She lost the elections to BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari in the general elections.

As per the rules, Mamata Banerjee should have to win elections from any constituency within six months to take over the Chief Minister post. In the crucial election, Mamata Banerjee had emerged victorious in the poll.

The election officials started the vote-counting process earlier today. Mamata Banerjee has been in the lead from the first round. Taking forward the lead, Mamata won the by-elections.
