The West Bengal becomes the fourth state to pass the resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act in the assembly. The resolution appeals to the union government to repel the amended Citizenship law and revoke plans to implement NCR and update NPR.
State Parliamentary Affairs Minister introduced the resolution in the assembly. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee declared that the protest is not only for minorities and she thanked Hindu brothers for leading this protest from the forefront.
While addressing a rally Mamata Banerjee said that the Bengal won't allow CAA, NCR and NPR and fight peacefully and she also added saying that as per CAA person has to become a foreigner to become a citizen and this is a terrible game pushing people towards death and she also said donât fall in the trap. Today people are scared that they may have to leave the country.
Mamata Banerjee said BJP the brand Ambassadors of Pakistan and they always talk of Pakistan and less of Hindustan. Similar resolution have been already passed in Left ruled Kerala and Congress-led Panjab and Rajasthan.
