KCR Effect: Mamata Turns Down Sonia's Invitation!

Update: 2018-03-13 09:26 GMT
UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is hosting dinner for the leaders of Opposition Parties in the country on March 13th. Invitations has been extended to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu Opposition Leader MK Stalin and National Leaders. The agenda is to unite all the anti-BJP Forces to bring UPA back to power in 2019.

However, Mamata Banerjee who was part of UPA in the past informed the Congress Leadership that she willn't be attending the dinner hosted by Sonia. This came as a bitter shock to Congress as Mamata is one of the key leaders opposing Modi and she could be an asset to the UPA.

Analysts say, Mamata rejected the invitation of Sonia only because of KCR. She now sees a ray of hope in the Third Front proposal moved by Telangana CM. Attending Sonia's Dinner Meet after extending support to KCR will send wrong signals. Hence, She preferred not to go for the dinner hosted by Congress Supremo.
