Man arrested by Telangana Police for using Jagan's name

A Hyderabad youth was arrested by the Telangana state police for violating the rules of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 and Central Motor Vehicle Act 1989.

According to the police, a resident of Kukatpally owns a Hyundai Verna car which was originally registered under AP10 BD 7299, has put a number plate as AP CM Jagan in the place of the original number. As the act, violates the Motor Vehicle acts, the Hyderabad police arrested the man under IPC sections of 420, and 210. The FIR was registered at the Jeedimetla police station under the Crime No. 761/19, U/s 420, 210 IPC.

The MV acts state that except the registration number of the vehicle nothing else should be displayed on the number plates and the violators of the act are subject to punishment.

The man who is in the police custody now has sais that he belongs to Pittapuram in East Godavari district. He also said that he put 'AP CM YS Jagan' on the number plate just to avoid the 'toll fees' and 'searches'. The police have booked a case on the owner too. According to the records, the vehicle is registered in the name of Yesu Reddy, a resident of Kotavari Veedi, Raparthi, Pitapuram, East Godavari.
