Congress worker Muni Kamakoti alias Munikoti, a native of Manchalaveedi in Tirupati, set himself ablaze on August 8th last year at Tirupati Corporation Office demanding Special Category Status. In the meeting held for Special Status, Munikoti got very emotional, raised slogans, poured kerosene on the body and set himself on fire. He succumbed to the 70 percent burn injuries the very next day.
