An upcoming Bollywood flick 'The Accidental Prime Minister' is based on Sanjaya Baru's controversial book (The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh).
First Look Teaser of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' will be unveiled on August 30th this year. The voice over with which the movie starts - 'Exemplary political acumen and years of labour is a must for even to head a state. But, This is the story of a man who never aspired yet become a prime minister, someone who isn't even aware of his appointment as the PM of World's largest Democracy even a day before the announcement'.
The film is about the insights into Manmohan Singh's rule as Prime Minister of the country from 2004 to 2014. It also covers the controversial subjects like Congress leadership denying state funeral to former PM PV Narasimha Rao in New Delhi.
'The Accidental Prime Minister', slated for release in 2017, will be dubbed in several regional and foreign languages. A Punjabi Actor was roped to play Manmohan Singh. Search is on for the actors to reprise roles of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. A foreign actress is likely to be playing Congress Chairperson. Manoj Bajpayee might play Sanjaya Baru in the film.
