Former Supreme Court Justice Markandey Katju and Controversies go hand-in-hand. This time, He openly confessed his love for Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa.
At the time when the Chief Minister is undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital in Tamil Nadu, Markandey Katju took to his Facebook page to condemn rumors about Jaya's health condition. Addressing Jayalalithaa as 'Sherni', He dared to call all of her Opponents as
'Langoors' (monkeys).
Markandey Katju: 'When I was a young man, and she (Jayalalithaa) too was young I thought her extremely attractive and had fallen in love with her, though of course she did not know about it, and it was unrequited love. I still find her attractive (which unfortunately I am
not now), and am still in love with her, and wish her speedy recovery.
Hari Om'.
The former SC Justice met Jayalalithaa twice - 1) When he came to take oath as Chief Justice of Madras High Court (2004-2005), 2) When he was the chairman of press council of India (2011-2014).
Mr.Katju claims he respected Jaya because when he was the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court she never asked me to recommend any name for appointment as a Judge of the High Court, nor did she interfere in judicial functions in any way.
