BSP Constable Sagar was killed and his body has been mutilated by Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) at LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch on May 1st when he was on patrol duty. Family Members of Sagar refused to cremate the mortal remains until UP CM Yogi Adityanath visits them. They finally agreed to hold the last rites after receiving a phone call from the Chief Minister.
Ahead of Yogi Adityanath's visit, Roads leading to the house of BSP Martyr were cleaned and drainages were covered by District Administration. An Air Conditioner has been installed at the Constable's House and even curtains, carpets and sofas has been put up. Yogi Adityanath consoled the family members of the BSP Constable and assured jobs to his children after handing over a cheque of Rs 4 lakh. He also promised to set up Martyr Memorial & Girls Inter College in the village in the memory of the slain Constable.
Within half-an-hour after Yogi's visit, The AC, Sofas and Carpets at the house have been removed by the District Officials. Family Members of the Martyr Soldier felt humiliated with this insensitivity.
