Assault of Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by AAP MLAs at CM Arvind Kejriwal's residence on Monday night created a sensation. However, AAP denied manhandling the top bureaucrat and alleged it's a ploy of Centre to defame the state government.
However, Doctors confirmed the injury marks on the body of Chief Secretary after the medical examination. They observed swelling behind his ears and bruise on the lower lip. There was an injury on the neck as well.
Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash complained to DCP about the assault. 'I had received a call from CM's Advisor at 8.45 PM on Monday. While seeking detailed about the Advertisements, MLAs Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal attacked Me. Luckily, I managed to escape from there,' he said.
Delhi Police arrested both the MLAs involved in the assault. Case was booked under Sections 120B, 186 and 353 of IPC.
