Unlike other celebs who donated from their pockets, Rajya Sabha Member Chiranjeevi on Wednesday announced he is going to spend Rs 50 lakhs of his MPLADS Funds to relief operations in Hudhud Cyclone affected districts.
Chiranjeevi is behaving just alike a true politician even when there is a crisis in Andhra Pradesh. He ridiculed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a nominal ad hoc assistance of Rs 1,000 crore and also for not declaring the severe cyclone as National Calamity after paying a visit to Visakha on Tuesday. He stated Visakha alone suffered a damage of Rs 60,000 crore and total loss could be around Rs 1 lakh crore. He advised AP Government to mount pressure on Centre for receiving more funds to restore situation to normalcy at the earliest.
