Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan emerged as the individual highest advance tax payer for the financial year 2012-2013. Apparently, the actor has paid Rs 25 crore as advance tax.
Few days back, a section of media falsely reported that Akshay Kumar (Rs 18 crore) is the leading advance tax, followed by Salman Khan (Rs 11 crore), Shahrukh Khan (Rs 10.5 crore), Aamir Khan (Rs 8 crore), Katrina Kaif (Rs 4.5 crore), Kareena Kapoor (Rs 4 crore) and Priyanka Chopra (Rs 2 crore). However, the media missed to report the tax paid by Big B.
In the financial year, Amitabh Bachchan is likely to pay a tax of over Rs 37 crore and the Bachchans (including Aishwarya, Abhishek) total tax pay will be around Rs 51 crores.
