MHRD Releases The NIRF Ranking List

The Human Resource Development (MHRD) recently released the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking list of various higher education institutions which includes 100 institutions.

IIT-Madras bagged the top spot in the 2020 ranking list released by National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF). What's good news is that Tamil Nadu alone has one-third of the humanities, arts and science colleges that made it to the top 100 list.

When compared to the previous year the list of the colleges decreased by three and got restricted to 32 this year as in 2019, there were 35 colleges from the state in the list.

On the other hand, IISc Bengaluru and IIT Delhi bagged the top second and third spots respectively.

To rank the Colleges and Universities in the country the NIRF takes Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach, and Inclusivity (OI) into consideration.

Coming to Hyderabad, the University of Hyderabad is at the sixth place in the list of Universities, while Hyderabad Nalsar University bagged the third place in Law and National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education And Research (NIPER) made it to the fifth place in Pharma category.
