All is not well in the Warangal TRS. There is intense groupism within the party and the ruling combine is deeply divided into pro and anti-Errabelli Dayakar factions. The differences are so deep that both the minister and the MLA have slammed each other in full view of the CMO secretary Smita Sabharwal. The situation came to a pass that MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy staged a walkout and left in a huff.
On Sunday, the government organized a review of the irrigation project in Warangal collectorate. Ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod and CMO secretary Smitha Sabharwal were present. During the meeting, even as Janagama MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy was explaining about the problems of his constituency, minister Errabelli interrupted him. This led to a heated debate between the minister and the MLA. While Satyavathi Rathod tried to pacify him, Muthireddy staged a walkout.
Earlier, he said that he had attended the meeting only because he thought it was an opportunity to highlight the problems of his constituency. He said CMO secretary Smitha Sabharwal was specially sent by KCR. He said that out of the 353 village tanks in his constituency, only 123 tanks were filled. The remaining tanks were still empty. Errabelli reportedly objected to this. Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy told the reporters that he was stopped midway by the Minister. However, Errabelli denied that he had stopped the MLA from speaking. He said that while all others had come prepared with comprehensive reports, Yadireddy came totally unprepared.
There have been tensions between both Muthireddy and Errabelli for quite some time. Earlier too, they had entered into heated debates. That this wordy duel occurred right in front of Smitha Sabharwal has assumed significance. Sources said that Smitha Sabharawal is likely to report about this incident to Chief Minister KCR.
