Demand to make Madurai second capital gains momentum

Demand to make Madurai as the second capital of Tamil Nadu once again gained momentum with a Minister raising his voice to made the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu as the second capital.  
Going into detail, Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party leader and  State Minister for Revenue, Disaster Management, and Information Technology R B Udhayakumar demanded that Madurai should be made the second capital.

According to some media reports, the Minister made this demand at a recent meeting with the members of the Madurai wing of the AIADMK.  

The Minister went to say that Madurai possesses all the required infrastructures to become the second capital and making Madurai second capital will develop all the southern districts.

It has been widely reported that the Minister appalled to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam to make the city second capital.
