Ghosts In Assembly, Perform Pujas: MLA

Update: 2018-02-23 12:25 GMT
Is Rajasthan Assembly haunted by ghosts? Purification rituals required to ward off evil spirits? Whether we believe in ghosts or not, BJP MLA Habibur Rahman is claiming the same.  He and another MLA Kalulal Gurjar told the CM Vasundhara Raje that the assembly is haunted.

Going into the details, two BJP legislators Kirti Kumari and Kalyan Singh recently died.  Ever since they died, there is a talk doing rounds in the political circles that the new assembly building was built on a piece of land which was used as a graveyard or cremation ground earlier and that is the reason behind the deaths of BJP MLAs.  Habibur Rahman said that "People must have buried bodies of children here.  Evil spirits freely roam around such places."

Rahman also said that the Assembly has never finished its term without losing an MLA from 2001 till now.  BJP's chief whip Kalulal Gurjar said that the evil spirits can be warded off if the government performs purification process or a puja.  On the other hand, Assembly Secretary played down their concerns saying that he stayed in the Assembly late into the nights several times but he never felt the presence of evil spirits.
