MLAs disrupting Governor's Address face 1 Year ban

Update: 2016-02-29 16:28 GMT
Telangana MLAs disrupting Governor's Address will face 1 year suspension. A decision in this regard has been taking by the Assembly Rules Committee on Monday. Legislative Affairs Minister Harish Rao, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, BJP & MIM Leaders attended the meeting.

For the past few years, MLAs have made it a habit to disrupt the Assembly proceedings on the first day of Budget session, especially during the Governor's address. So, The Committee decided to deal with such unruly lawmakers in strict manner.

Other new rules include No Protests during Question Hour & Disallowing bringing of Placards into the House.

In 2015, About 10 MLAs of TDP were suspended for entire Budget session for their unruly behaviour during the Governor's address. Surely, Opposition Parties willn't be able to digest the new rules introduced by ruling TRS.
