Not just the AP Government, Even Telangana Government is hugely disappointed with hardly any allocations during the presentation of Union Budget 2018.
TRS Government sought funds to the tune of Rs 50,000 crore. This include financial assistance of Rs 19,000 crore for Mission Bhagiratha, Rs 10,000 crore for Kaleshwaram Project and Rs 5,000 crore for Mission Kakatiya.
Much to the shock of KCR, Centre offered Rs 10 crore and that too for establishing Tribal University as per the provision of AP Reorganisation Act 2014. Even demands such as Bayyaram Steel Plant (Rs 10,000 crore), Railway Coach Factory (Rs 3,000 crore), Rural & Urban Development (Rs 2,000 crore), AIIMS (Rs 500 crore), Horticulture University (Rs 500 crore) and Grants for residential educational institutions for SC, ST, BC and Minorities remained unfulfilled.
Although NITI Aayog approved Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya. It had even recommended funds for them but Centre didn't bother to pay heed.
