Election Commission imposed a ban on the release of PM Narendra Modi biopic until the completion of 7th phase of Lok Sabha Polls. Following which, Producer approached the Supreme Court for lifting the ban. Then, The Apex Court asked EC to submit a report upon watching the biopic.
Post the screening, Election Commission informed the Supreme Court that decision to delay the release until the end of polling is valid because biopic could influence the voters. Today, The Top Court declared that it can't interfere in this matter and the Election Commission's decision will be final.
In that way, Supreme Court justified the decision of EC to permit the release of PM Narendra Modi only after the 2019 Lok Sabha Polls. That's the best way to ensure level-playing ground...isn't it? All the Anti-BJP Parties in the country are relieved to know about the order passed by the Supreme Court.
Vivek Oberoi & Co., will have to wait till completion of Lok Sabha Polls for the release of the biopic. Chances of the film leaving a big impact looks bleak if it misses the election season.
