You Needn't Commit Suicide: Modi Tells Ex-PM

Update: 2018-05-05 13:45 GMT
During the election campaigning in Karnataka, PM Narendra Modi alleged Congress Party have the habit of neglecting the poor after elections. He questioned what has Congress done to Kannada People since Indira Gandhi's regime.

Modi pledged to fulfill the dream of former PM Vajpayee, that's inter-linking of Hemavathi and Nethravathi rivers. He accused Congress Government of indulging in rampant corruption and not being able to end farmers suicides. 'While people suffer, Treasury of the Ministers is completely full. How is that possible? Centre allotted Rs 14,000 crore for seven Smart Cities, Rs 836 crore out of them has been sanctioned already. But, Siddaramaiah Government hasn't developed Smart Cities and spent only Rs 12 crore so far,' he questioned.

PM complains Congress and JD (S) have been holding secret talks to form the Government. 'In 2014, Deve Gowda pledged that he would commit suicide if I become PM. Though I had become PM, He needn't kill himself. I still respect him,' he said.

Modi appealed people to vote for BJP to end the rule of Corrupt-Congress Government. He went on to say offering an opportunity to BS Yeddyurappa will change the lives of the poor and farmers.
