Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned the demise of spiritual guru Pramukh Swami. Upon hearing the news of his death, NaMo reached Sarangpur from Delhi in a direct flight soon after addressing the Nation on the Independence Day.
Holding back his tears, Modi told, 'Many People might have lost a Guru, but I have lost a Father figure'.
Pramukh Swami's mortal remains were kept in an air-conditioned glass chamber for allowing devotees to pay tributes.PM spent an hour at Sarangpur. He said that Pramukh Swami tried to bring reports to the world of Saints. He also claimed that the spiritual guru would collect the video recordings of his speeches during various tours and even used to call him to say some of the words used by him were inappropriate.
During the foundation stone ceremony of Akshardham Temple in Delhi, Pramukh Swami sent one of his saints to Modi with some money to offer during the ritual as he knew there is no money in his pocket. When Modi went to Srinagar for unfurling the national flag inspite of the threats from Militants, The first person to call him for enquiring about his well-being was Pramukh Swami.
