Modi Praises Tamil! Is It A U-Turn?

Update: 2019-09-30 10:00 GMT
After the central government received stiff opposition from the South Indians due to Amit Shah's 'One Nation, One Language' Call, Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to have taken a u-turn. Word-of-praise for the Tamil Language at the convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras is a clear indication.

Modi opined Tamil is now echoing across the United States. He recalled speaking in Tamil once when he was staying in America and telling people that its one of the ancient languages. The speech of PM began with conveying greetings in Tamil, 'Vanakkam'.

At the United Nations General Assembly, Narendra Modi mentioned about the quote (We belong to all places and to everyone) of Tamil Poet Kaniyan Pungundranar who lived 3,000 years ago. He told India has progressed with co-existence of several languages and this is happening since centuries.

What would Amit Shah say now? Will he withdraw the 'One Nation, One Language' comment which invited the wrath of South Indians, especially Tamilians? Wait & See!
