Update: 2016-08-07 13:19 GMT
Trail Run of World's first Transit Elevated Bus (TEB) has been successfully held in China on August 3rd. This 22-metre long Bus runs on the road and allows vehicles to pass under it. Electricity is being used to operate the straddling bus.

The biggest advantage of Transit Elevated Bus is its efficient Mass Transport. At a time, It could carry 300 to 1,200 Passengers. But, The only worrying aspect would be that TEB could run on the stretches which are straight.

During a recent meeting with Transport Department, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered Officials to collect all the details related to Transit Elevated Bus and determine whether such buses could be solution for traffic issues in Indian Cities.

Apart from India, Brazil and Indonesia were keen on introducing Transit Elevated Buses for Mass Transport.
