Now that the Munugode battle is almost over, Telangana Chief Minister KCR is already planning his next moves. He is now looking towards Delhi and is planning to make another important visit to the national capital. If highly placed sources are to be believed, the chief minister would visit New Delhi before Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Telangana on November 12.
On November 12, Modi will visit Ramagundam to inaugurate the thermal power project. KCR wants to be in Delhi before that and wants to highlight his pet peeve of MLA poaching. He is likely to make common cause with the Aam Aadmi Party, which is also alleging that the BJP was poaching its MLAs.
KCR knows that he does not have solid and clinching evidence in the poaching case that could firmly link it with the BJP. He also knows that since the matter is sub-judice, he cannot make many allegations. He cannot also reveal any new evidence and it has to be first presented to the court before making it public.
Hence, except for an odd press conference, KCR may not be able to do much on the MLA poaching case. Political pundits expect that he would discuss Gujarat assembly elections with the Aam Aadmi Party, which is making a strong bid in the state. Sources say that KCR could even campaign in Gujarat against Narendra Modi and the BJP. He is likely to send his key party leaders for the Gujarat campaign.
It remains to be seen as to what will be KCRâs next move in Delhi. What ever the move, it promises to be an exciting political drama.
