Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched as many as three social security schemes during his maiden visit to West Bengal. These new schemes are related to the insurance and pension sector.
List of Social Security Schemes launched Today:
1) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (Accident Cover)
Age Group: 18 to 70
Premium: Rs 12 per Annum
Risk Coverage: Accidental Dealth & Full Disability: Rs 2 lakh, Partial Disability: Rs 1 lakh
2) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana (life insurance)
Age Group: 18 to 50.
Premium: Rs 330 per Annum
Risk Coverage: Rs 2 lakh in case of death.
3) Atal Pension Yojana (Pension Scheme)
Age Group: 18 to 40
Any person joining Atal Pension Yojana will have to pay the premium (depending on age) till he reaches 60. For Monthy Pension of Rs 1,000 the corpus will be Rs 1.7 lakhs and for Monthly Pension of Rs 5000 the Corpus is Rs 8.5 Lakh.
