Modi’s unusual gesture on Manmohan Singh

In what we call a quite unusual in today’s politics one of the top politician praised the top leader of opposition party. He was none other than Prime Minister Narenra Modi and the appreciations received was his counterpart and ex PM Manmohan Singh.In an unusual gesture, PM Narendra Modi tweeted praise for Manmohan Singh who was awarded one of Japan’s top national awards.
 
Taking to twitter, Modi said, “Matter of joy and pride that Japan has conferred Dr. Manmohan Singh with Grand Cordon of the Order of the Paulownia Flowers. Congrats to him.”
 
Manmohan Singh will be awarded Japan's 'The Grand Cordon of the Order of the Paulownia Flowers' for his "significant contribution to the enhancement of relations and promotion of friendship" between Japan and India for about 35 years. Manmohan Singh is the first Indian recipient of this Order and it is a "high level National Order" and a rare honor.
 
It was the second tim emodi shpowering praises on ex prime minister. Earlier NaMo praised the good work that Manmohan  had done as a finance minister in the Congress government led by Narasimha Rao in the 1990s
