Update: 2022-04-06 12:38 GMT
With barely a few hours to go for all the ministers of Andhra Pradesh to resign from their posts to facilitate YS Jagan to reconstitute his cabinet, the ministers are now busy packing their bags. They just have a few hours so they are busy wrapping up the last-minute work.

The ministers would be attending the last meeting of the cabinet on Thursday and YS Jagan is set to seek their resignation. The new cabinet is likely to be constituted on April 11. Several ministers have already vacated their chambers and have transferred the employees to departments of their choice.

Meanwhile, the rumour mill is working overtime to churn out stories of who will be retained as ministers and who else would be newly inducted. The names of those who would be shown the door are also doing the rounds.

Political watchers say that Jagan will reconstitute his council of ministers on the basis of caste and religious balance. He would keep the upcoming 2024 elections in view while constituting the cabinet.

Meanwhile, there are reports that seniors like Dharmana Prasada Rao, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Ananta Venkatrami Reddy and Katasani Rambhulap Reddy are making last ditch attempts to get into the good books of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.  Minister Gummanuru Jayaram is said to be making last ditch attempts to remain in the ministry by using the good offices of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy.
