MP's Ride Bicycles, Evehicles To Parliament

Several MPs on Monday reached Parliament for the first day of the Winter Session riding bicycles, wearing masks, and in electric vehicles. The winter session of the Parliament has started today and will continue till December 13.

On November 16, Rajya Sabha Secretary-General Desh Deepak Verma had flagged off two units of E-vehicle transport facility for ferrying members in the parliament premises.

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi wore a mask as a mark of protest in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. The pollution in the capital on Monday was mild, but the quality remained poor. Minister Prakash Javadekar said the government is gradually switching to electric cars as they are pollution-free. The Minister also appealed to people to contribute to fight pollution and start using public transport and electric vehicles.
