Former India captain MS Dhoni, who announced his retirement from the International Cricket last year, has launched his MS Dhoni Cricket Academy in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. However, Dhoni is not present at the launch event.
Post his retirement, the two-time world cup winning captain was last seen in Dream11 IPL 2020 in the UAE. While the CSK skipper will not be active on the cricket field until the next IPL, he is very much active off the field with his business assignments.
According to reports, Ahmedabad-based Shri Enterprise in association with Indian sports management firm Aarka Sports announced the grand launch of the MS Dhoni Cricket Academy.
Reports reveal that the MS Dhoni Academy will transform the standards of coaching and development of cricket across the world as it will be equipped with all modern technology, high-class coaching facility and certified coaches. The academy is also planning to expand its centres to every corner of the world, having already done so in Dubai for instance.
