Much Awaited 'Shiv-Bhojan' Scheme Launched

The Shiv-Sena led Maharashtra government on Sunday launched its much-awaited scheme 'Shiv-Bhojan' scheme, the main aim of the scheme is to provide a 10 rupees meal for poor. It was launched on the occasion of 71st Republic Day. it was a promise made during 2019 annual Dussehra rally.

The 10 rupees thali was formally launched in Thane, Pune and Nasik districts. This meal is popularly known as the Shiv Bhojan and Shiv Thali and it is a part of the common minimum program of Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress Maha Vikas Angadi Government. The Thali comprises of two chapatis, one vegetable, rice and dal. In Mumbai, district Guardian minister Aslam Shaikh inaugurated the Shiv Bjojan Thali canteen at the civic-run Nair hospital. A similar centre was unveiled by Tourism Minister Aaditya Thackrey at the collectors' office in Bandra. The Mumbai 24x7 or midnight life scheme came into force, the trial run was carried out on some malls and multiplexes.
