The Kapu Reservations which went through several twists and turns took another interesting turn after former Minister, Kapu Movement leader Mudragada Padmanabham wrote a letter to AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
In his letter, the leader asked CM Jagan to request PM Modi to put an end to the Kapu reservation issue and advised Jagan to take the examples of Naveen Patnaik, Jyoti Basu, and late YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
He slammed the government for not implementing the reservation system. He even said, back then in 2016, Jagan supported the reservation for kapus in various interviews, and when he made it to the CM seat, what is stopping him to implement the reservation.
Mudragada asked, Kapus supported the YSRCP and voted for the party in the 2019 General elections with a hope that Jagan might fulfill their long time dream of allotting BC status to Kapus.
