Mudragada Padmanabham contemplated on conducting 'Chalo Kathipudi Samavesam' on January 31st, 2019. However, AP Police denied permission for the meeting of the Former MP.
In the letter addressing Chandrababu Naidu, Mudragada questioned why he is so worried about the meeting of Kapus. He pointed out, 'Dharma Porata Deekshas have been conducted all over the state. Chandrababu delivered speeches on the roads by diverting the traffic. Then, why not we are allowed to do the same? Is the constitution different for both of us?'.
Mudragada challenged AP Government to sentence him to prison rather than using thousands of police for his house arrest and wasting crores of Tax Payers money. He went on to say Cops needn't have to face any hardships when it comes to food and accomodation had if Govt sends him to the Central Jail. 'Many cases were booked, resorted to lathi-charge and even abused us with unparliamentary words. We faced all sorts of insults. Shooting with a rifle is the only thing which is yet to done,' he commented.
Finally, Mudragada informed that Kathipudi Meeting has been delayed temporarily due to denial of police permission.
