People of the country and Media have been divided into two sections after the launch of Demonetization scheme. While on one side we have those who backed the decision of Centre to curb the black money, Those who fault the poor implementation stand on the other side.
The Counsel of Centre & Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi informed Supreme Court that demonetization is meant to curb black money and fake currency. He told Note ban has stopped funding for Terrorist activities. He further say, Demonetization was carried out as per Article 73 of the Constitution.
Supreme Court directed Centre to report to it about the measures taken by it to minimize the inconvenience caused to the people in rural areas. The bench opined political parties need to collectively prepare the list of categories which could be referred to High Court and Supreme Court. Next hearing on demonetization is posted to December 5th.
Centre is hopeful that citizens willn't face any inconvenience after three weeks. But, People doubt if normalcy could be restored within 21 days!
