Mumbai Indians Bigman Kieron Pollard Bids Goodbye To IPL

Update: 2022-11-15 12:03 GMT
The Mumbai Indians fans will not see the hard-hitting batsman Kieron Pollard on the field playing for the team as the player bid goodbye to IPL. After the Mumbai Indians team released him from the team he decided to end his IPL career as he could not see playing against Mumbai.

Keiron Pollard has been an integral part of Mumbai Indians since 2010 and played a big role in making the franchise one of the big teams in the tournament. He brought a big balance to the team as a batsman and bowler. He is also very good at fielding and this makes him a quality player.

However, he is struggling to make runs for the team which is a big concern. In the last season, he failed to like the Mumbai Indians team. The team management had big faith in him that he was retained and Hardik Pandya was released ahead of the mega auction.

The decision was proved wrong as Pollard failed to score big runs while Hardik Pandya became the skipper of the IPL team and lifted the trophy. Pollard left his mark in IPL with the ball and bat and claimed 50-plus wickets besides scoring 3000 runs.

"It hasn't been the easiest decision to make as I will keep playing for a few more years, but I understand that this incredible franchise which has achieved so much needs to transition and if I'm no longer to play for MI then I cannot see myself playing against MI either. Once an MI always an MI. I am immensely proud, honoured and blessed to have represented the biggest and most successful team in the IPL for the past 13 seasons," Kieron Pollard said in a statement.
