Pandemic Dairies: 144 Section Imposed In Mumbai

Following the ongoing pandemic spreading its deadly wings in the state, the Mumbai Police imposed Section 144 to combat the spread of the respiratory disease.

The prohibitory orders imposed in the city under CrPC section 144 with the immediate effect will be lasting till the 15th of July in the city with the positive cases increasing rapidly day by day.

The orders issued by Pranaya Ashok, Mumbai Deputy Commissioner of Police states one or more people cannot assemble in public places or gathering in the city including the religious places.

In the hotspots declared by the authorities, no public movement will be entertained and people cannot step out of their houses. However, essential activities will be allowed in the city.

Maharashtra currently has 1,74,761infections and 7,610 fatalities which is the worst-hit state in the country with the outbreak. The state accounts for one-third of the total cases.
