Maharashtra is hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent times. The state which currently has more than 90,000 cases of the pandemic surpassed Dragon Country China in terms of positive cases.
Now Financial Capital Mumbai overtook the Wuhan Province of China. Wuhan from where the ongoing pandemic is originated has 50,333 positive cases and claimed 3,869 lives.
Mumbai with 51,000 positive cases surpassed Wuhan in terms of the positive cases. The only good thing is the count of fatalities in Mumbai(1,760) is less than that of Wuhan(3,869).
Maharashtra continues to report more and more positive cases as the state witnessed 2,259 cases out of the 9,987 fresh cases reported in the country. The positive cases in the state are slowly inching towards the one lakh-mark.
On the other hand, the total cases in India surpassed 2.76 lakhs while 7466 people succumbed to the dreaded virus so far. India has turned out as the sixth worst-affected nation due to the pandemic.
While Chian from where the outbreak of the virus started is recovering slowly other nations are suffering from it. India which used to report more than 7k cases daily is now reported more than 9k cases daily.
