Munugode By-poll Tougher than 2018 Polls For TRS?

Update: 2022-08-21 06:45 GMT
We are going to witness a highly intense ballot box battle in Telangana with Munugode. The major parties are not leaving any stone unturned to win the polls. Recently, it was reported that the BJP and TRS are aiming to rope tier-two leaders from Congress into their respective parties as their game plan.

Political experts predict that the Munugode by-poll result would tell the pulse of the voters in the state. Though the grand old Congress is also in the fight, the main fight is said to be between TRS and BJP which have been locking horns with each other for some time.

To say how seriously TRS has taken the by-poll, the ruling party even extended its friendly hand to communist parties as well. As a result, the Communist Party of India (CPI) came forward to support TRS and the other Communist party CPI (Marxist) might also come forward.

None other than Telangana Chief Minister KCR made a big statement that the Communist Party of India (CPI) will support them and the CPI (Marxist) might also do the same. He even said that the friendly ties would continue after the by-poll too.

Though the communist parties have some issues with the TRS, they are not happy with the saffron party. The ruling TRS is also against the BJP and the common enmity brought them together. Though the communist party cannot win the polls, their existence would come in handy as they are strong in the Nalgonda region.

Time is the key factor in politics. In the 2018 general elections, KCR managed to record a thumping win in the state despite the left, Congress, and grand old Telugu Desam Party fighting together. TRS founder chief KCR played the Telangana and Andhra issue once again.

KCR sent a strong message to the voters that if the grand alliance would come to power then the Andhra leaders would again rule them. He hit the bull's eye in the campaign and the voters voted for him. Compared to 2014 polls, TRS recorded a bigger win. Cut to four years later, TRS joined hands with the left for the by-poll. Looks like the Munugode poll is much tougher for the TRS than the 2018 polls.
