The Nagpur city in Maharashtra went into lockdown after the state government announced a fresh lockdown in the city, following a constant spike in the fresh Coronavirus infections in the state.
According to the media reports, the new lockdown will come into effect on the 15th of March and will last till the 21st of this month. Except for the essential services, all the remaining services will be suspended.
Maharashtra, which is facing the wrath of the pandemic outbreak is taking all the required measures and steps to curb the infections. But the efforts went in vain with the constant rise in the new infections.
The other day, the state government announced a night curfew in Kalyan Dombivli and Nandurbar. With night curfew in effect, the bars and restaurants will only be allowed to serve customers till 9 PM only.
Several media reports have quoted Maharashtra Minister Eknath Shinde as saying, a complete lockdown might be imposed in the severely infected regions in Aurangabad if it is necessary.
