AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday gave an assurance to his Tamil Nadu Counterpart O Panneerselvam over impartial magisterial inquiry into Seshachalam Forest's encounter which claimed the lives of 20 Red Sandalwood Smugglers.
In response to Tamil Nadu CM's letter, Chandrababu Naidu wrote, "I am in receipt of your letter dated 07-04-2015 in which you have expressed your concerns on the incident which took place in Srivarimettu and Eesagunda areas in Seshachalam forest area in which 20 persons belonging to Tamil Nadu died".
Naidu informed Tamil Nadu CM that AP Government is making all the arrangements to deliver the bodies of the deceased to their families at the earliest after conducting post-mortem. He also promised to take necessary action based on the enquiry report.
Serious Protests were launched in Tamil Nadu against the AP Government for killing as many as 20 Woodcutters belonging to the state.
