Data theft and its political implications are causing tremors in both the Telugu states. Not just between two ruling parties, it is causing friction between the police departments of the respective states. The politicians behind the scam are running for cover. They are worried as data theft is a serious offence and they would have to face the music for it.
The key question is - is the data of only Andhra Pradesh stolen? What about the data of Telangana? The Cyberabad police are currently investigating the matter. They have seized the CDs and hard discs from IT Grids, a company functioning out of Madhapur's Ayyappa Society. The police suspect that key TDP leaders and several officials too could be involved in the scam. The company's CEO Ashok is said to be very close to Nara Lokesh. It is this proximity with the powers that be that is making him reject the summons served by the Cyberabad police.
One man who is most worried is Nara Lokesh himself. He is studiously silent even as photos of Lokesh and Ashok together are flooding the internet. Meanwhile, key employees of IT Grid - Regonda Bhaskar, K Phani, Gurudu Chandrasekhar and Rebbala Vikram Goud would be produced before the court soon.
