Hyd Rains: Former Governor Narasimhan Announces Donation To CM Relief Fund
Former Governor of Telangana Ekkadu Srinivasan Lakshmi Narasimhan, popularly known as ESL Governor has a special bonding with the state. He served as the first Governor when the state was carved out of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
When the state is suffering from the crisis due to the heavy rains, Narasimhan came forward and announced a donation of Rs 25,000 from his personal savings. He expressed his concern over the situation in the state.
TRS Chief and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao was touched by Narasimhan's donation. The Chief Minister thanked the former Governor for the contributions he made.
Narasimhan is not only the first Governor to serve Telangana. He is also the longest-serving Governor who rendered his services for nearly a decade.
However, before the formation of Telangana, the former Governor was heckled by various Telangana leaders including TRS leaders over the Telangana issue.
Things changed quickly when the state was carved out of Andhra Pradesh. After being appointed as Governor, Mr. Narasimhan maintained cordial relations with the Chief Minister.
He was even accorded a warm welcome by the Telangana Government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar. KCR even termed losing Narasimhan's services as Governor painful.
